Hi all! I don't know if anyone actually reads this, but I haver some spare time on my hands so I may as well write some stuff!! It was Richard's 28th Birthday last Monday, and we spent the weekend in Valencia, Spain. The weather was warm and the city beautiful. We enjoyed tapas and Spanish wine nightly, and had a huge hotel room. Running through the middle of the city is a huge green belt, which used to be a river, but it kept flooding so they drained it and made it into massive park lands. It is 6-7 kms long, and we walked about half of it. There were many ponds, water features, play grounds and cafes. Valencia was our 1st Spanish experience and it certainly made us want to see the rest of the country.
Then back in London we had celebratory drinks in a local pub. As usual, it was Rich and I, plus our 2 great friends Ty and Cailtlin at the end, drunk. Another fun night!
I am still searching for work. It has made me realise how lucky I was to find a job so quickly and easily last year when we first arrived! I have an interview this Wednesday at a hospital. I have also made a new friend who is a midwife and she has told me that her hospital employs registered nurses to work in the post natal ward, as well as midwives. Also, the conversion course is 18 months and I could work whilst doing it. So that sounds promising. I'll keep you posted!!
My sister Beth and her boy Paul arrive in London in a few weeks - can't wait to see them! We are off to Hamburg for new years with about 10 friends which should be awesome.
London is being plunged in to winter at a rapid pace....dark at 4pm! And very chilly. But there is something very romantic about walking through the streets, all rugged up, arm in arm. Lots of lovely autumn leaves.
Well I think that is all our news for now. I hope you are all well and happy in life.
Love from Mrs Pip oxoxxoxoxo
